Wayfinding in Ballarat

Finding your way around the city is easy, pedestrian wayfinding signs have been installed at key city locations.

Four of the signs feature large maps of the Central Business Area and highlight key places of interest, shopping centres and major community services. These signs are located at the Ballarat Railway Station, the corner of Lydiard and Dana streets and at either end of the Bridge Mall.

The signs also show distances between places of interest and the approximate times it would take to get there if you are walking.

Five information panels have been installed around the city. These signs also have maps, but they are slightly smaller. While the directional signs point the way to key attractions in the city.
