Gold Museum
Ballarat's fascinating Gold Museum, located across the road from Sovereign Hill, displays early photos and paintings, manuscripts and books, and one of
the country's finest collections of gold coins and gold nuggets.
Frozen In Time
Get set to enjoy Winter at Sovereign Hill, Ballarat. Now in its 4th year, Sovereign Hill's Winter celebration has become a signature event for the attraction and is a hugely popular family experience. Until 26th July, visitors will be treated to a magical ice sculpture display.
For a limited time, Sovereign Hill will treat visitors to a special Frozen in Time themed experience. In addition to all the usual favourite activities, Sovereign Hill will present an interactive winter exhibition featuring a walk-in zone complete with huge ice sculptures in designs reflecting the period including a horse and carriage, gold miners, troopers and more.
A Night at the Museum
Sovereign Hill has taken a lead straight from Hollywood with a unique new product that allows visitors to literally spend 'A Night in the Museum'.
A Night in the Museum' enables guests to experience the romance and charm of life as it was on the goldfields for the gentry of the 1850s, hosted by one of Sovereign Hill's costumed characters. Read more.

During daylight saving Sovereign Hill is open until 5:30pm.
Gold Museum open hours 9:30am to 5:20pm.
