Cycling in Ballarat

 


 

One of the best ways to get to know Ballarat and its surrounds is by bike. From a tour of the city centre, to designated bike paths, to longer rides further afield, you'll find a ride to suit your fitness level and interests. Here are ten suggested bike rides to help you on your way.

Recreational Rides

Ballarat Heritage Ride: a ride in central Ballarat taking you to some of the city's most important historical sites/landmarks. Read more.

Ballarat Parklands Ride: a ride through two of Ballarat's top recreational areas. Read more.

Yarrowee River Trial: an off-road ride along the Yarrowee River. Read more.

Ballarat to Buninyong Loop:  a loop ride using off road paths and scenic roads between Ballarat and historic Buninyong township. Read more.

Ballarat to Creswick Loop:a longer ride through rural and forested areas passing many points of interest around Ballarat. Read more.

Ballarat to Skipton Rail Trail: a longer off road ride following a disused railway line through the countryside south west of Ballarat. Read more.
