Family Getaway - Two Days

Day One

Arrive at Gold Rush Mini Golf centre for a round of golf at their two 18 hole themed course - then head on into Ballarat for some lunch and check into one of the many family friendly hotels.

Spend the afternoon panning for gold and enjoying Victoria's premier family tourist destination Sovereign Hill.  Take an underground mine tour, a ride in a horse drawn carriage or have a photo taken in full period costume.

Enjoy a delicious dinner at one of Ballarat's family friendly restaurants before tucking the kids into bed for a well deserved sleep.

Pop on your winter woollies for the Ballarat Eerie Ghost Tour where you will spend the evening exploring the dark and paranormal side of Ballarat or be amazed by the spectacular light and sound show Blood on the Southern Cross at Sovereign Hill.

Day Two

Enjoy the relaxing scenery of Ballarat Botanical Gardens as you make your way to Pipers on the Parade where you can all enjoy breakfast on the Lake's foreshore.

Then head to the Ballarat Wildlife Park where you can feed the free-roaming kangaroos and have your photo taken with a koala and wombat.  Watch the crocodile and Tasmanian devil feeding show before tucking into a traditional Australian lunch served in the 1840s bushman's hut.

Head back to Melbourne.
