Located 10 kilometres from the centre of Ballarat, the campus is set on 110 hectares of natural bushland and provides sporting and leisure activities including an indoor swimming pool/aquatic facility, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, an all weather athletics track, two gymnasiums, a weight training studio, dance studio, squash courts, a canoeing lake and several sports fields.
The campus boasts up-to-date teaching and research facilities, library, studios and lecture theatres.

SMB Campus
Located in the heart of Ballarat, the SMB Campus provides modern teaching facilities within an attractive, historic environment dating back to 1870.
Adjacent to the historic campus is the Brewery Complex, the newest facility at SMB, which houses 10 spacious computer laboratories, a lecture theatre, and specialist rooms such as a model office, retail training facility and an observation room.
In addition to the Lydiard Street South campus, other facilities within Ballarat include the Agriculture Education Centre, a Building Studies facility and Ballarat Horticulture Centre.
Programs provided are Applied Science, Building Studies, Business Studies, Hospitality, Further Education, Manufacturing & Technology, Health Social & Community Studies, Hair & Beauty, Physical Recreation, Rural Studies and Vocational Arts.

Camp Street Campus
Located in the heart of Ballarat, Camp Street Campus is the University of Ballarat's main site for the "Arts Academy".
The redevelopment of the Camp Street area, integrating both new and historic buildings, has resulted in a central precinct for the Visual and Performing Arts and a dynamic and vibrant new arts and cultural environment of international significance in the centre of Ballarat.
The precinct has been developed with provision for:
- Creative Arts education and training programs across both TAFE and Higher Education
- Creative Arts studio and performance facilities, computer laboratories and multimedia facilities
- Flexible performance spaces and a 150-seat theatre for theatre performance, concerts and recitals
- Places for 38 students to live on site
- A Visiting Artist and Artist-in-Residence program across both the Visual and Performing Arts
- Community outreach programs - short courses, seminars, workshops and master-classes
- Professional gallery and exhibition spaces
The start of the academic year 2002 saw the majority of the University's Visual and Performing Arts students, staff and programs co-locate at Camp Street. Eight thousand square metres of space are used by 400 students and staff.
The University of Ballarat also has other campuses in Ararat, Horsham and Stawell.

Ballarat is 125 kilometres west of Melbourne. The campus (see Map) is located near Ballarat's commercial centre within easy reach of facilities. The beautiful old buildings of the campus reflect the history of the town.
We offer academic programs in education, theology and nursing.
Facilities and events
With over 600 students, the campus offers quality teaching facilities including simulated nursing labs, computer labs, a library, a canteen, visual art rooms, a gallery, a bookshop and a gymnasium. The Student Association organises a range of social events throughout the year.
