Recent expansions of the transport capacity of the Region includes: the construction of the Deer Park Bypass on the Western Highway to Melbourne, Regional Fast Rail, a second Passenger Train Station, and future projects include upgrades to the Ballarat Train Station and an Intermodal Freight Hub.
